Join us for a complimentary Sneaker Sock knitting workshop on Monday, June 19 from 6pm-9pm.
The workshop will be hosted by celebrity sock designers Wim (@Mr_Knitbear) & Dennis (@Dendennis)!!! Wim & Dennis are visiting from Europe & have published several books including “Happily Knitting Socks” & “Sock You Two.” These charismatic gentlemen found crochet & knitting many years ago... & like all of us have not been able to put down the hooks & needles! They found they had a knack for designing & writing patterns which they are looking forward to sharing with us.

6/19: 6pm-9pm
In this fun & interactive workshop you will be knitting a pair of ultra-wearable Sneaker Socks. The ankle socks have a low cuff to fit comfortably & fashionably with summer footwear. Wim & Dennis will take you through the sock knitting process & teach you a new heel construction! The Shadowwrap heel technique is a great addition to every sock lovers repertoire.
Here are the required materials you will need:
- 1 skein/ball Lang Jawoll, Wooladdicts Footprints, Berroco Vintage Sock or your favorite fingering weight sock yarn
- Size 1 double point needles (or preferred method of small circumference knitting such as magic loop, small circulars or flexi-flips). *Or needle size to achieve gauge.
To maximize enjoyment in the workshop, please complete the homework below:
- Using the Long Tail Method, cast on 60 stitches using size US 1.5 double point needles (or size to achieve gauge) *30 stitches = 4” in stockinette
- Place marker & join to knit in the round
- Rounds 1-10: K1TBL (knit 1 through back loop), P1
