Winter days are perfect for showing off a cozy, matching hat & mitten set. The Jovita Hat & Mittens by wonderful knit designer Åsa Buchta combines warm, wooly Berroco Ultra Wool DK with light, airy, mohair/silk Aerial Color.
It is so much fun to hold both strands together & see the colors emerge. Lace weight mohair/silk blends look thin, but it is amazing the depth of color they give to knits when held together with a complimentary or constrasting solid!
Knit in the round, the hat & mittens feature a textured pattern created with combinations of knits & purls. Both the hat & mittens can be knit with just 1 ball each of Berroco Ultra Wool DK & Aerial Color.
Materials:
*Note- 1 ball of each yarn is enough for both hat & mittens
- 1 ball Berroco Ultra Wool DK (photo in 83109 Fog)
- 1 ball Berroco Aerial Color (photo in 34104 Cassatt)
- Hat- size US 4 & 6, 16” circular needles + US 6 DPN’s
- Mittens- size US 4 & 6 DPN’s (or preferred method of small circumference knitting)
