Knowe by Kate Davies Designs
Please join us Thursdays from 10/13 - 10/27 from 6pm-8pm for our next Knit-Along, the Knowe Cowl/Capelet by Kate Davies. The simple stranded colorwork piece is knit in the round from the top or the bottom. The piece may be worn as a generous cowl or capelet to cover shoulders on cool days.
The cowl features a cozy ribbed rollneck & an approachable two color stranded colorwork design. It is a great knit for beginners, as well as more seasoned knitters. Knit in DK weight yarn, the choices are endless. The pattern also is sized with 6 different options.
Some of our favorites include Rowan Felted Tweed, Rowan Alpaca Soft DK, Brooklyn Tweed Arbor, Kelbourne Scout, WYS The Croft DK, Cascade BFL, or Jamieson’s Shetland DK
Here is what you will need:
- Main color A: 480-1,080 yards DK weight yarn (based on size chosen)
- Contrast color B: 240-480 yards DK weight yarn
- Size US 6, 24”, 32” & 40” circular needles
*We recommend using a wool or high wool blend yarn for the project
