River Lily Beanie by Anna Tucker of Little Larkspur Designs
Hedgehog Fibres Super Bulky, colors Onyx, Gossip
Nothing tops sparkling Autumn days like a cozy, handknit hat. The new pattern, River Lily Beanie by Anna Tucker knits up in a couple of hours & is toasty warm.
The hat is knit in Hedgehog Fibres Super Bulky, a bright, fun, single-ply yarn hand-dyed in Cork, Ireland. The texture of this interesting hat is achieved by a special slipped stitch in which Anna includes an easy to follow video. The hat may be knit in two colors as pictured or knit in one color to create a different look.
The hat looks great topped with a faux fur pom, yarn pom or simply without a pom. The pattern also includes knitting instructions for a bulky & aran/worsted weight version as well. Here is what you will need for this fab weekend or weeknight project:
Materials:
2 skeins Hedgehog Fibres Super Bulky or 1 skein if knitting single color version
*Note- If knitting 2 color version, you should have enough yarn to make a second hat (see yardage below, depends on your gauge)
Single Color: 77 yds.
Two Colors: MC: 60 yds. CC: 17 yds.
Needles:
Brim: US 11, 16” circular needles
Body: US 13, 16” circular & double point needles
The pattern is available to purchase in store or on Ravelry.
Happy Knitting!
