Feature Pattern of the Week - Beaubourg

Beaubourg by Julie Hoover
Manos del Uruguay Maxima, color Foil
This week we are showcasing a cool, effortless pullover by another designer we love. Worked in reverse stockinette stitch (purl stitches are on the right side) with exposed seams at the sides, sleeve bottoms, and shoulders, Beaubourg by Julie Hoover is a fun & satisfying knit.
The pullover is knit flat from the bottom up & then seamed. Stitches are then picked up around the neckline for the cowl collar, which is knit in a loose rib stitch.
Beaubourg is one of those pieces that looks great on everyone & can be dressed up or down.
The sample is knit in Manos del Uruguay Maxima, a worsted weight, 100% extrafine Merino wool yarn. The soft, single-ply spun yarn is perfect for this piece as it gives a worn-in, casual luxe feel. The color used for the sample is Foil, a tonal blend of pewter, stone & sand colors. We recommend alternating between skeins as you knit to blend the colors of each hand-dyed skein.
Here is what you will need to knit the Beaubourg:
