The Fibre Co. Cirro, color Celestial
One of our favorite brands, The Fibre Co., has just launched a new sport weight yarn & we are ready with needles poised! Cirro is a divinely soft, brushed yarn spun from long, lustrous Suri alpaca, organic cotton & Merino wool. This light, airy yarn is created by wrapping the blend of alpaca & wool around a cotton thread. With a blend that feels great next to skin, Cirro knits into a fabric that has the perfect amount of body & drape.
To showcase the new yarn, The Fibre Co. has released six patterns. One of our favorites is Patera by Ririko. Patera is a lace yoke pullover with a high-low hem and flattering balloon sleeves. This pullover is worked seamlessly from the top down and features short rows to raise the back neck for a comfortable fit.
Here is what you will need to knit the Patera pullover:
- Size US 5 double point needles for working a small circumference in the rnd (or size to obtain gauge)
- Size US 5, 16” & 24”-47” circular needle for working yoke and body (a good rule of thumb is to base body needle length on finished bust size)
