It’s the knit cardigan the entire family can wear! Gramps by Tin Can Knits includes sizes from newborn to 4XL. This easy to understand pattern is a seamless design, knit from the neck down. After the body & arms are complete, the button band & collar are worked. The cute (and useful) pockets & elbow patches are added last.
The Gramps Cardigan samples were knit in Madelinetosh Vintage, an 100% Merino wool, worsted weight yarn. The pattern would also be fantastic in Malabrigo Rios, Berroco Vintage, or Cascade 220.
The pattern calls for the folllowing needles (based on size):
US #7 and US #6 (or as req’d to meet gauge);
baby - 6-8 yrs: 32”+ circ and DPNs in each size
8-10 yrs - Ladies L: 40”+ circ and DPNs in each size
Ladies XL - 4XL: 47”+ circ and DPNs in ea size, plus 16” circ in larger size for upper sleeve
