Hit the slopes or the shops in Matterhorn, a gorgeous hat & cowl set knit in Hedgehog Fibres Tweedy. Designed by Wool & Company team member Alexandra Weston, the timeless diamond colorwork pattern is updated with colorful bits of tweed that are comprised of recycled yarn & thread waste. Both the hat & cowl are knit in the round.
This special kit features Soot, a new addition to the Tweedy family which we are very excited about! All of the tweed bits in the color were previously Wool & Co. waste yarn! We are thrilled to have partnered with Hedgehog Fibres on this gorgeous new hue.
The Matterhorn is available as a convenient kit that includes 3 skeins of Hedgehog Tweedy (1 skein each of colors Noir, Soot & Original), as well as the pattern. The kit includes enough yarn to knit both the hat & cowl. For extra panache, add a Faux Fur Pom (sold separately).
To knit the Matterhorn Hat & Cowl you will need the following:
- Hat: size US 4 & 5, 16” circular + US 5 double point needles
- Cowl: size US 4 & 5, 24” circular needles
