A study in color pairing & contrast, the Linden shawl by Lisa R. Myers features a stunning variegated colorway (Generosity) paired with a high contrast tonal solid (Humility). The slipped stitch pattern on the bottom of the shawl gives the beautiful look of little windows of color, while the top half of the shawl allows the full color to shine in stockinette.
The shawl is knit in Manos del Uruguay Alma, a 100% superwash Merino wool yarn that is the perfect balance between lightness, body & drape. The cozy fingering weight, single-ply is a pleasure to knit.
Manos del Uruguay is a special brand of hand-dyed artisan yarns that support rural Uruguayan women. Manos is a non-profit organization that was founded to give women jobs, allowing them to be independent & support their families while being able to live in their home villages.
Linden is a great two skein project that calls for just 1 skein each of a main color & contrast color of Manos del Uruguay Alma & a size US 4, 40”-60” circular needle.
