New Shibui Koan, colors White & Paloma
An easy, breezy summer knit is just the thing to brighten any day. Shibui’s just launched Spring/Summer 2020 collection has a gorgeous collection of simple, wearable knits featuring their new linen/silk blend Koan.
Koan is a spectacular warmer weather yarn blending the striking sheen of mulberry silk with the strength & wearability of linen. Koan has a smooth, gentle ply that creates a light & delicate fabric. Ideal for garments & accessories where a fluid drape is desired.
The Rubia cardigan is a piece you will wear all season. The generous wrap cardigan is knit flat from the bottom up with one strand of Koan, featuring a modified dropped shoulder with set-in ¾ length sleeves.
Rubia requires size US 5, 32” or longer circular needle, US 6 needle for 3-needle bind-off.

Perfect to wear underneath the Rubia is the Calla tank. It is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armholes then divided and worked flat to the shoulders. A stockinette stitch/reverse stockinette stitch striping sequence is worked throughout.
Calla requires size US 3, 32” or longer circular needle, US 3 needle for 3-needle bind-off.
