This week showcases all knits Shibui & we are excited to release a virtual trunkshow to bring these gorgeous knits to life! Shot in charming St. Charles, IL, the video follows our model (and team member), Maria, as she enjoys a day out & about.
Watch for our cover pattern, the Wells cowl by Julie Hoover. This unique cowl is soft, cozy luxury personified. Knit flat & then seamed together, the cowl is knit with four strands of Shibui yarns held together!
A textured slip stitch rib pattern is even more interesting & plush when knit with 2 strands of Shibui Pebble & 1 strand each of Shibui Silk Cloud & Twig held together. Silk, cashmere & fine Merino Pebble gives the cowl warmth & softness, Twig lends structure with linen, while Silk Cloud adds a luminous glow with silk & mohair.
The cowl pattern includes instructions for a short or long version. To knit the cowl you will need the following:
Short Version, 24” circumference
2 skeins Shibui Pebble + 1 skein each of Shibui Twig & Silk Cloud (all in same color)
Size US 8 straight or 24” circular needles (knit flat, then seamed)
Long Version, 61” circumference
4 skeins Shibui Pebble + 2 skeins each of Shibui Twig & Silk Cloud (all in same color)
Size US 8 straight or 24” circular needles (knit flat, then seamed)
