Feature Pattern of the Week - Stripe & Basket Cowl

Cascade 128 Superwash, colors Silver (MC) & Mocha Heather (CC)

Mix it up with the Stripe & Basket Cowl by Elizabeth Smith. Simple to knit, yet pleasantly interesting, the infinity cowl features a fun stripe section & pretty basketweave stitch. Knit in soft & smooshy Cascade 128 Superwash, the cowl is knit flat, then seamed with an easy three needle bind-off. If you have never done the three needle bind-off, no worries as Elizabeth describes how to in the pattern.

This is a nice project to knit while relaxing at home. To knit the cowl, you will need the following:

  • 2 skeins Cascade 128 Superwash in Main Color
  • 1 skein Cascade 128 Superwash in Contrast Color
  • Size US 10, 24” circular needle or straight needle (cowl is knit flat & measures approx. 6.25” wide)
  • Extra size US 10 needle for three needle bind-off
