The Weekender Crew by Andrea Mowry,
Brooklyn Tweed Dapple, color Seafoam
Yes! You do need another Weekender!
Knit designer Andrew Mowry has released a new version of her beloved Weekender pullover. The Weekender Crew is ideal for transitional & warmer weather. Knit in DK weight, Brooklyn Tweed Dapple, the sweater is light & ultra-comfortable to wear. Dapple’s blend of American-sourced Merino wool & Organic cotton deliver memory, as well as lightness.
Dapple is tonal-dyed, which means that each skein within a dye lot has variations of color & texture for a “dappled”, tonal color effect. The yarn has a gorgeous matte, “lived-in” finish that lends itself to relaxed, casual garments.
The Weekender Crew is named for the flattering crew neckline of the sweater. Known for her well-written, straightforward instructions, Andrea has designed the piece to be worked from the bottom up, seamlessly (except for a small seam at the underarms). A split hem leads to the body which is knit in the round. After the sleeve divide, the remainder is worked flat. The sweater is finished with an exposed seam using a three needle bind-off.
