Balayage is an exceptionally soft yarn spun from baby alpaca & organic extrafine Merino wool. The yarn was developed in collaboration with top knit designer Melanie Berg. The special color effect results from mixing white organic Merino fibers with white & grey baby alpaca fibers. The yarn is then hand-dyed in gorgeous colors inspired by the South American landscape. Many of Melanie’s most popular designs are gorgeous shawls that focus on beautiful textured stitch patterns, as well as color play. The stitch definition of Balayage is ideal for knitting these shawls. The yarn is also beautiful for accessories.
